Semi-conductor : A person who does a part time job on a bus
Right, so this is the copy of an answer sheet for a recently held class test on Semi-conductors. The guy who wrote it isn't from my class, but Ma'am, frustated and amused at the same time, lent it to me to have a good laugh. Which I definitely did. Extraordinary practical abilities the guy has. Sadly, Kri and I couldn't really stop giggling at his umm... wonderful imagination, which resulted in us getting punished in the English period for giggling at 'something we both remembered at the same time' ( the reason we gave, and again broke into giggles :D ), and that meant losing a 40 min nap ! Anyways, I enjoyed it too much to worry about that. Chalo, on with the paper now.
Explain the following terms :
1. Semi-conductor : Post title. ( Okay, what was he thinking ? )
2. The concept of a hole : The concept of a hole is the one which explains the importance of a hole in the various holes present in a semi-conductor. ( Precisely... lol, it took Jojo, supposedly the genius of our class, a full min to understand this one, especially the other holes which have been discussed. )
3. Forward & Reverse Biasing : When you press the forward button, the player rotates the VCD clockwise and the movie is forwarded. This is adjustable as it comes with three varying speeds. It depends on how fast you want the tracks to change.
Similarly, if you press the reverse button, the VCD is rotated counter clockwise and the movie is reversed. This again is adjustable.
( Dude, do help me sometimes with the car player... I usually keep making big mistakes while forwarding songs, resulting the movie being played all over again ! You could really lend a helping hand here, couldn't you ? )
4. Transistor : An old age radio used by people when there was no TV. ( Old age ??? )
5. Amplifier : A device used to increase the volume of the transistor and old age car players. ( And what exactly is that button for which you can rotate and whoa, the volume changes ! Oh why did I write a page long explanation ??? Dumb dumb dumb me !!! Btw, old age again ? )
6. Doping : It is to take those drugs which have been banned by the concerned sports body. For example, Shoaib Akhtar and Mohd. Asif recently got caught for it by the ICC. ( Just one word - Cool ! And oh btw, it was the PCB who had carried out the tests. Breaking News - They were found guilty ! Akhtar gets a 2 yr ban and Asif a 1 yr ban. )
7. Conduction band : The name of the new pop band from Italy. Beautiful songs ! ( All those who are gonna comment, tell me what reaction suits this one the best. )
8. Zener effect : The effect Renee has on her fans when she makes an appearance. ( What the... ??? And the last time I knew, her surname was Zellweger ! )
9. Rectifiers : People who correct bad criminals. ( Bad criminals ? Though I wonder what he would have written if Ma'am had formed the question as ' Half wave Rectifier and Full wave Rectifier '. )
10. Avalanche : A french word. ( So, didn't get anything here, did ya ? XD It might have originated from French though... )
Okay, so this is it. Though I desperately wish Ma'am could have given us some more questions... Anyways, the most commendable thing about this guy is... come on, he didn't leave a single question blank ! Wow ! Lol, and see, phekna hi tha toh properly pheka... I mean, even he would know these all is not even remotely related to Physics... but the courage is definitely appreciable ! And oh, I forgot one another thing. What do you think is his name ? I always heard it as ' Rezil Smart '... recently came to know it was ' Crazil Smart ' ! The perfect name for him, isn't it ? XD
